GXARCSYS class

class GXARCSYS(handle=0)

GXARCSYS class.

This library is not a class. It contains various general system utilities used by the Geosoft extensions for ArcGIS.

__init__(handle=0)

classmethod get_browse_loc(path)

Get the current catalog browser location in ArcGIS

Parameters:

path (str_ref) – Path String

New in version 8.0.

License: Geosoft Open License

Note: Gets the “local” directory (current catalog browser location in ArcGIS if map has not been saved, otherwise MxD path). We cannot mess with the CWD in ArcGIS because there MxD settings for relative/absolute paths depends on it.

classmethod get_current_doc(path)

Get the current Mx Document file name

Parameters:

path (str_ref) – Path String

New in version 8.0.

License: Geosoft Open License

Note: If the current document is not yet saved, this will return an empty string.

is_null()

Check if this is a null (undefined) instance

Returns:

True if this is a null (undefined) instance, False otherwise.

Return type:

bool

classmethod null()

A null (undefined) instance of GXARCSYS

Returns:

A null GXARCSYS

Return type:

GXARCSYS
